Julie chats with Edwina Wyatt
Edwina Wyatt worked as a lawyer and a high school teacher before becoming a writer of books for young readers.
Her first book In the Evening was a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable (Picture Book of the Year 2016) and included in the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge. Her follow up title Together Always was also a CBCA Notable (Early Childhood Book of the Year 2017) and has been translated into several languages.
The Secrets of Magnolia Moon published by Walker Books is her junior fiction debut. Forthcoming titles include picture books with Knopf Books for Younger Readers (Penguin Random House, New York), Walker Books and Little Hare.
Edwina lives in a small village in the Victorian High Country with her husband and two children. She is represented by Lindsay Davis Auld at Writers House.
